Nevis Radio Launch New ‘Charity of the Month’ Scheme and other updates

A few words from our friends at Nevis Radio:

”At Nevis Radio we’ve just launched a “Charity of the Month” feature and are looking for local charities/social enterprises to participate.

Our vision for this project is that each participating charity will have a month allocated to them, and during it, we will promote different aspects of the organisation, totally free of charge. This could be by recording interviews with staff and volunteers or people that have been supported by the charity or even doing them live. We would also highlight any upcoming events and provide social media support for the charity.

We launched the feature today and Stramash is January’s charity.

If you work for a charity or think a charity would benefit from taking part, please get in touch with Esme at

In addition to this:

“We are aware of the current transmission issues affecting some parts of Lochaber and are working to get them resolved as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank everyone for their continued patience and support. We will release any more information about when we can expect signal to return via our social media platforms, meanwhile please direct any questions in regards to this matter to Simon Abberley by email ( or phone on 01397 700007.”

Nevis Radio are also one of the Tesco’s Bags of Help chosen charities for the next month and you can vote for them in both the Fort William and Aviemore stores, so get your votes in!

Happy new year and thank you!
