New Exhibition at Lime Tree22nd May 2018
Mixed Media Show Now Open
A mixed media exhibition featuring works from three esteemed artists is now open at the Lime Tree Gallery, Fort William.
The artists featured in this exhibition include Carol Sinclair showing ceramics works, Joanne Soroka showing tapestry and embroidery works, and Jude Edgar showing painting. The exhibition runs from May 19th to June 24th and is free admission to all.
About the artists
Carol Sinclair explores the theme of connection in her ceramic work, and the importance of memory in how we relate to each other and our environment. A collection of six delicate, three-dimensional porcelain sculptures by Sinclair play with light and shadow as the layered fragments interact.
Joanne Soroka has been making tapestries for over forty years. Her work has been included in numerous group and solo exhibitions around the world. Traditional hand crafted tapestries evoke memories of earth and rock. Soroka has specialised in tapestry for over 40 years and is a multi award-winning artist.
Edgar is a lifetime painter of many approaches; her newest work includes exquisitely soft watercolours which dance with subtle touches of bronze powder. Inspired by the spectacular Scottish landscape, she works mainly in her garden studio, on a hill with panoramic views of Findhorn Bay, the Moray Firth and beyond.
The Lime Tree Gallery is located in Fort William, and the exhibition is free admission.
