The Apprentice Store operates as a social enterprise and with no shareholders; all profits are reinvested into the development of their staff to ensure that they deliver a quality IT support, web development or Cyber Security service. It is a Living Wage Employer and has made the Scottish Business Pledge whilst also being recognised by the Highland Business Awards and Skills Development Scotland for its commitment to developing young people. After 28 years working in the IT industry David still remembers when he started out, aged 16 on a government Youth Training Scheme and he wants to offer the next generation of IT professional to experience the IT industry:

Annually, the company provides hundreds of voluntary hours of employability guidance, careers advice and work experience to help young people be better prepared for entering the workforce.

Location is not a barrier – the growing UK client base can be accessed through secure remote-support tools and staff travel from their Inverness headquarters to ensure that clients receive the high quality of service they expect.
