Live

Lochaber is the outdoor capital of the UK with stunning landscapes, including Ben Nevis, the atmospheric Glencoe and impressive coastlines.

Our aim is to expand the region’s population by 25%, so we’re making some space for our new neighbours. Since 2018, 265 new houses have been delivered across the region with a further 310 – 330 in the pipeline.

The future of Fort William

We’re ambitious for the future of our area. The Highland Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), and the Lochaber Chamber of Commerce have collaboratively developed a forward-thinking masterplan for Fort William’s town centre. Local people are an intrinsic part in shaping that future.
