High Life HighlandSport & Recreation
High Life Highland is a charity registered in Scotland, formed on the 1st October 2011 by The Highland Council to develop and promote opportunities in culture, learning, sport, leisure, health and well-being across 9 services throughout the whole of the Highlands, for both residents and visitors.
High Life Highland develops and promotes opportunities in culture, learning, sport, leisure, health and well-being across nine services throughout the whole of the Highlands, for both residents and visitors.
In Lochaber, High Life Highland operates Lochaber Leisure Centre (which offers a gym, swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, exercise classes, squash courts, sauna and steam room) and libaries in Fort William, Caol, Mallaig, Knoydart, Ardnamurchan and Kinlochleven).
You don’t have to be a member of High Life Highland to use Lochaber Leisure Centre or library or book a range of great holiday activities. The leisure centre is open to everyone so it’s an ideal wet weather alternative for all the family. High Life Highland also operates the Glen Nevis Visitor Centre, which now has tea/coffee facilities as well as friendly assistants to advise on the walks available, an interesting exhibition about the history of the Glen and Ben and a well-stocked equipment and souvenir shop.
